Company will pay Rs.15 lakh to Annu, a victim who lost her family in the Kumhari flyover accident
District administration gave instructions to the company
Collector and the SP held a discussion with the Royal Infra Company and asked them to take responsibility of the girl child
Royal Infra, the company engaged in construction of the Kumhari flyover, will provide Rs.15 lakh for the education and other needs of Annu Dewangan, a victim who lost her both parents in the Kumhari flyover accident. District Collector Mr. Pushpendra Kumar Meena and District SP Dr. Abhishek Pallav discussed with the management of the company in this regard and asked them to take responsibility of the girl child for her education and other needs. Officials told the management that the contract has conditions to take care of all safety measures that are needed during the flyover construction. The negligence of the company led to a serious accident. In this very unfortunate accident, the girl lost her parents. The company should bear the expenses of her upbringing. After discussion, the management now will provide an amount of Rs.15 lakh. The company management will provide a cheque of Rs 15 lakh to the family members of Annu on Thursday in the presence of Collector Mr.Pushpendra Kumar Meena and SP Dr. Abhishek Pallav on the Collectorate premises.

Every year Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel comes to Jajangiri and Kumhari, it is popular belief that bad luck is destroyed by suffering such blows.
As usual, as per tradition, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reached Jajangiri and Kumhari village of Patan block today and offered prayers to Gaura Gauri and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state.
After reaching Jajangiri, the Chief Minister greeted the people on Diwali. He said that the festival of lights should continue to illuminate the lives of you people like this. The Chief Minister said that every time I feel very happy to come amongst you and my heart becomes happy by sharing the joy of Diwali with you.
He said that it gives great pleasure to enjoy the folk tradition on the occasion of Deepawali. I feel very happy every time I come among you guys.
On social media, a video of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has gone viral. CM Bhupesh Baghel is seen in this video bearing the blows of a whip on his hand. This video is from the Durg district, where CM Bhupesh Baghel joined a gathering on the occasion of "Gauri-Gaura Puja" and was severely beaten with a whip during a rite.
The footage makes it crystal clear that CM Bhupesh Baghel is standing in the middle of a big audience with his hand outstretched, while a man is rapping his wrists repeatedly. This individual repeatedly beats CM Bhupesh Baghel—five times in a row—before joining hands and bowing to him.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday paid tributes to Dau Late Shri Thakur Ram Chandrakar at his residence in village Santra falling under Patan development block of Durg district. After completing his two day visit to Chandrapur and Pamgarh assembly constituencies as a part of his 'Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan', Shri Baghel reached village Santra today. He visited the residence of Dau Late Shri Thakur Ram Chandrakar and paid tributes to him. The Chief Minister also met the bereaved family members and expressed his heartfelt condolences to them.
Private school principal arrested on charges of molestation
Bhilai : principal of a private school was on Saturday arrested on charges of molesting five students in Bhilai city.
The victim girls of Class 10 to 12 alleged that the principal, K. Anand Kumar, called them to his office and molested them, Durg Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava said.
The girls had complained against the principal to the district education officer, following which a case was registered, the officer said.
A case under section 354 (molestation) of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was registered against him.
Karnataka’s team visits Chhattisgarh to observe innovative measures of Anganwadi Centers

A team of project officer’s of Karnataka, Tata Trust and UNICEF Centre for learning visited Chhattisgarh’s Anganwadi Centers on Thursday to observe the innovative measures taken by the state government to improve the facilities in the field of ECCE(Early Childhood Care and Education). The team, in coordination with the Women and Child Development Department visited the Anganwadi centers of Kotni and Mohlai falling under Durg district. Along with observing the activities under ECCE(Early Childhood Care and Education),the team also praised the state government-run public welfare schemes like Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan, Suposhan Vatika, and Gauthans. The team was on an extensive tour of Anganwadi centers , and homes of some families and they took stock of the grass root situation after interacting with the beneficiaries. They appreciated the collective effort of the state government and Mitanin communities that are contributing towards improving the health index and nutritional levels in women and children. The team further said that they will make an action plan to implement Chhattisgarh’s innovative schemes in Karnataka as well.
The team visited the Adarsh Anganwadi Center of the village Mohlai and they carefully observed the ECCE activities being done for the holistic development of children, they praised the quality of food being given to children after witnessing fresh and nutritious breakfast that children relished in the Anganwadi Center. They were informed by the Anganwadi workers that the vegetables and fruits which are grown in the Bari are being consumed by the children and mothers of the center. It is worth mentioning that Bari is another innovative public welfare scheme which promotes organic backyard farming. They were further informed that Milk is obtained from the Gauthan and is provided to the children free of cost which is proving to be useful in eradicating malnutrition among children. The team represented by Mr. Prabhakar, Deputy Director, Karnataka State Women and Child Development Department also observed various activities being conducted in the district through a power point presentation. They savored the Chhattisgarhi cuisine prepared by locally procured ingredients and later, saw the Suposhan Vatika built with public cooperation in the Anganwadi complex.
After Mohlai,the team reached the village of Kotni and observed the activities being done for the emotional, physical and intellectual development of children in Anganwadi centers. The team examined and appreciated the quality of food being provided to the children in the center. They also visited Kotni’s Gauthan, and homes of pregnant mothers and children who were malnourished but with the facility of providing nutritious meals,they have become healthy. District Program Officer Mr. Vipin Jain, Supervisor of sector Rasmada , Anganwadi workers, parents of children, members of women self-help groups and local Mitanin were also present during the visit.
